Camping With Pride 2017

Join PFP at our annual camping trip, this year at Big Oaks Family Campground!

Dates:  August 18 – 20
35567 Big Oaks Lane
Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971
Phone: 302-645-6838

The campground is approximately a two hour drive from Philly and offers a swimming pool, playground facilities, and is a short drive to the beach. We will have a group of tent sites that can be reserved directly through us, but there are also cabins available if preferred. Families can contact the campground directly about cabin availability. One tent is allowed per site.

If you’d like to attend please email sandra@phillyfamilypride.org. In your email, please include the number of people in your family, your names and the ages of any children. (LGBTQ prospective parents and grandparents also welcome!)

Camping site costs are as follows for two nights.

$80 – Up to two adults and 2 children
Prices are based on 2 adults, 2 dependent children under 18, and 1 vehicle. There is an additional fee for extra vehicles, adults or children.

If you’d like to take advantage of our “pay what you can” fund to help afford this trip, please message PFP director Stephanie Haynes at stephanie@phillyfamilypride.org.

Pets are welcome, provided they are cleaned up after, kept on a leash, cause no nuisance to other campers and are not left unattended.

Payment can be made by check to Philadelphia Family Pride, PO Box 31848, Philadelphia, PA 19104 or  through our donate page on our web site. Payments should be received by August 5 to hold your spot.

New to camping? Don’t have a tent or camping gear? Don’t worry! There are several PFP members who are experienced campers and have extra gear to lend. Contact us (sandra@phillyfamilypride.org) with any concerns/needs and we can connect you with a camping mentor or the equipment you need. This would be a great first camping trip for kids and adults alike!
