Neighborhood Potlucks

Philly Family Pride will be holding neighborhood potlucks in and around Philadelphia on the weekend of September 16-17, 2017. This is a great chance to meet your LGBTQ parent, grandparent and prospective parent neighbors and for your kids to meet their kids. Also a good opportunity for LGBTQ prospective parents to meet and ask questions of the parents in the group. LGBTQ grandparents are also welcome to join in!
Choose one of the potlucks below and RSVP with the number of adults and number and ages of kids for the address and more info about parking, etc. These events are free and are open to everyone!
Please bring an entree or appetizer to serve 6 and serving utensils.
Hosts will provide beverages, plates, silverware, etc. and their homes!
E-mail Stephanie Haynes with any questions or to offer your home as a location for this weekend if there’s not one already near you. We’re especially looking for hosts in South Philly, Northwest Philly, Chester County and South Jersey.

Smith Playground

Meetup at Smith Playground

Meet up with other PFP parents and their babies, toddlers and big kids at Smith Playground in Fairmount Park to play in their very fun playground. There’s a toddler area with baby swings, a pirate ship, fire truck, train and more as well as a big wooden slide, a giant spider web (for big kids) and lots of ways to challenge climbers.
This event is appropriate for LGBTQ parents and grandparents and their kids 9 months – 10 years old.
Look for PFP board member Despina Kontos in the toddler area. She’ll be wearing her PFP shirt.
Smith Playground is free admission with free parking, but they do ask you to consider making a small donation on your way in or out.
In case of inclement weather, the parents and grandparents and kids 5 and under will meet inside in the Playhouse.
Check their website for directionshttp://smithplayground.org/directions/. See you there!
